What is a Personal Study Blog ?

The personal study blog is an online facility that allows students to keep a record of progress, set individual targets to aim for and make their own notes.

Our traditional paper study manuals are provided in loose leaf ring binders to allow students to add notes, tips, or include pointers to work on following feedback from link exam scripts.

Each student has their own personal study blog, to which only they have access to record all these personal notes in the one place.

How does it work ?

The blog acts just like a diary. You can access this by one of two ways:

  1. From the "Blog menu" on the home page you can add a new entry or view all existing entries.

  2. When your study material has been selected (see separate posting) the same Blog menu from the home page will appear on the top right hand side of your screen.

An example blog is attached for you to have a look at.

To add a new entry select "Add new entry" from the blog menu. You will be taken to a new window where you can write your own notes. It is useful to add a title and a "Blog Tag". See the separate posting on Blog Tags for more information.

Once your entry is complete and tag allocated, click on "add" at the bottom of the screen and your entry is added to your blog. You can go back and edit these entries at any time.

To view all your entries in your blog click "view my entries" from the blog menu. Entries default to chronological order, newest entries first. If you want to see entries made under one particular tag, just click on that tag from an existing entry and only entries with that tag will appear.
